We are looking for an enthusiastic, humble and creative Software developer who is passionate about creating simple and beautiful solutions in AWS, to join our quest in reshaping how energy is consumed, stored and produced on the consumer level. We believe you have been around for a couple of years and gotten your hands dirty in various AWS services. You will join one of our feature teams with the opportunity to truly drive change in one of our most important infrastructures: Power.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance server applications and APIs for both our single-tenant and multi-tenant cloud applications, hosted on AWS.
- Utilize Java as the primary programming language, alongside Python, Go, and TypeScript, to design and implement backend solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB databases, leveraging their capabilities for efficient data storage, time-series data management, and advanced analytics, ensuring high-performance data access and storage for our applications.
- Collaborate closely with Frontend Developers, Product Designers, and data scientists to gather and define requirements for the application’s API interfaces, ensuring alignment with the needs of frontend components and overall project goals.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code principles, using AWS CDK, to provision and manage cloud resources, enabling seamless deployment and scaling of backend services.
- Collaborate with other team members to plan and deploy software updates, new functionality, and improvements, facilitating the continuous delivery of features to our users.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, exploring opportunities to enhance our backend infrastructure and application performance.
What you bring
- Experience with AWS Cloud and deploying cloudformation stacks using AWS CDK.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
- A passion for automation, research and recommend best practices and innovative approaches for cloud administration tasks.
- Bachelors/Master’s degree Computer Science or related or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in the area of the above mentioned tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
